Step 3: Inner Smile

Add emotional inner calmness (peace, serenity) to the selected image. For this purpose, you can use the “inner smile” in a slight smile. It stops hyperactivity in the prefrontal cortex, lowers the electrical activity in the brain, closer to alpha waves (calm state).

After three minutes of this visualization, the brain will re-establish homeostasis, lower stress hormones, and give the possibility of emotional detachment from the experienced situation.
