Step 2: Introduction

The facilitator asks the participants to stand on a yoga mat, then discusses the objective of the training and sets up ground rules.  

An example introduction

The objective of this training is to invite you to practice a form of meditation that will help you relax your body, calm your mind, and let go of negative energy.

Before we get started, I would like to set two ground rules.  

  1. Keep your attention to yourself. We might be here with a group, but this training is for you. Turn inward and allow yourself to be in the moment.  
  2. The facilitator will respond to unproductive and disrespectful behavior or comments.
