The facilitator asks participants to brainstorm strategies for preventing micro-aggressions and promoting inclusivity. The facilitator writes these strategies on a whiteboard or flip chart (10 minutes). Examples might include:
Educating oneself on the systemic issues of power, privilege, and oppression.
Listen to the experiences of marginalized groups.
Being mindful of one’s language and avoiding assumptions.
Seeking feedback from others and being open to constructive criticism.
Encouraging diverse Target groups and creating a culture of inclusion.
Question the multiple identities you have and how they interact within your world.
