Step 1: How Do You Feel?

The facilitator ask the participants “How do you feel?”

  • It is better to ask each participant individually instead of in the larger group.

Most people will probably say they feel fine, so the exercise can start with this: “Why do we almost always say we are fine, even when we are not?”

Continue the discussion:

  • “Do you find it easy to talk about your feelings?”
  • “What makes it hard to talk about your feelings?”
  • “Can you consciously shift your feelings from one to another?”
