Step 1: Introducing Micro-aggressions

Discussion on micro-aggressions: What they are and how they affect you.

Give emphasis on why confrontation might be a good strategy even though most people don’t face aggressors.

Point out two factors to consider when and how to respond to micro-aggressions:           

(a) your goal and

(b) your role.

Presentation and discussion on the strategies to response. (Appeal your values, express your feelings, get the aggressor to explain, empathize with the underlying feeling, give information, use humor, involve others, non-verbal response).
